What Are You Saying?
Communication happens when a sender transmits a message and that message is received and duplicated by the receiver back to the sender and so on. It’s the comm-union or joining together of two by sharing meaning through a message. Take breathing for example. The breath is received (inhaled) and sent (exhaled) by the body. This is how the body communicates with the elements and the elements with the body. And as it is with the body, so it is with the mind. The mind communicates with the body (via thought and electrical impulses) and the body with the mind (via the senses). The mind also communicates with the Higher Self and the Higher Self with the mind. Now, for brevity’s sake I won’t mention the many levels in between, but the communication goes on and on until it reaches The Most High (the Grand Communicator from which all meaning originates because He IS All Meaning).
Communication with the The Most High doesn’t begin at ‘Our Father’ nor does it end at ‘Amen’. It is at all times and happens in a variety of ways. It does not happen solely through traditional prayer where you’re on bended knees with your head bowed and eyes closed. Now, even though prayer is a more focused and deliberate (and the most popular) form of communication, it is not the only form. Your every breath, your every thought, your every word, your every look, your every touch, every laugh, your every tear, every sigh, every truth, every heartbeat, your birth, your death, every taste, every kiss, and every movement speaks to Him. You communicate with Him in your sleep and in your dreams. Even in your silence does He hear you loud and clear. And even when your body has faded away, your soul will continue to speak…only then a little clearer.
So, as you can see you are in constant communication with all around you. And your Source is the All that surrounds you. The lines of communication are always open and your life (every part of your being) is the connection. The way you treat yourself, the way you treat others, what you think, everything you say and do (your verbal and non-verbal actions and reactions) all say something about who and what you are. Or in other words, your actions speak louder than your words. So, with that being said, examine yourself and ask, “What am I saying?” What is your life communicating to All Life? It’s definitely something worth taking the time to think about don’t you think? Go ahead and mull it over. He’s listening.
