Thought For The Day – Stained
If someone spills something on you (accidentally or otherwise), then they are responsible for causing the mess, right? But, who’s responsible for cleaning you up? Yep, that’s right. You. Otherwise, you’ll just be walking around with this huge stain on your clothes for all to see.
There will be times when people will do things to hurt and disappoint you. You can’t control the actions of others. You can’t control the mistakes people make. Truth be told, you can barely control your own mistakes, right? It is when we understand this that we begin to understand forgiveness. And yes, it’s easier to talk about forgiveness than to actually do it. But, the fact still remains that until you make the decision to forgive and let go, then you will continue to walk around with the stain of the hurt from past wrongs for all to see.
Shower your world (and your wounds) with forgiveness and start over with a clean slate. Remember, the decision to forgive, like the stain, is all on you.
