Thought For The Day – 12211

The more genuine self-love/-respect one has the more genuine love and respect one will express toward others. Lack of such leaves one feeling empty within and without true friends. Leading them to search desperately to fill the hole with anything and anyone they can find. Seeking love and respect outside of themselves in things, situations, and people in hopes of gleaning just enough to survive. But, when self-love/-respect are realized and cultivated from within oneself, then not only do they have enough to survive, but plenty to go around.

Seek, rediscover, and maintain self-love/-respect within and let your search be only for who to extend it to.

This message is SO powerful! There are SO many people out here lacking self-love. Some are so desperate to “feel loved” that they will settle for any man or woman in a relationship, and will stay with that person for years, despite mistreatment or abuse inflicted upon them.

I have a youth organization for young girls. I feel that it is my responsibility to instill self-love in these girls at earlier ages. This is the time when the opinions and images about themselves are forming. If unhealthy, those things could stay with them for their lifetimes.

“Self-love is SO important for survival of self.”
