Don’t Let Your Lips Block Your Light

The difference between telling everyone how wonderful you are and simply being so is like the difference between artificial and natural light.  One is MAN-YOU-factured, requiring constant attention and replacement.  The other is a creation of the Universe – effortless, brilliant, and eternal.

Light is to be seen, not heard.  When you truly understand this, you will see that it is not necessary to tell the world how beautiful, smart, and wonderful you are.  When you trust and allow your natural Light to shine through (as it is quite capable of doing without your assistance), you give the world a chance to see your brilliance on its own.  Simply let your Light shine before all men and just as sure as the sun lights the day, your God-given Light will be seen and felt by anyone in your presence.  Why try to glow like a candle when you already shine like the Sun?

Remember…”Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.” (Proverbs 27:2)  In other words, don’t let your lips block your light.

Very nice! When something is shining from within you, you can’t hide it, and others notice even if they don’t tell you. :0

P.S.- I’ve got to have you do a guest post for me sometime soon.

Amen! We learned this truth as children singing “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine”
